Matt Robbins is the Chips lead at Steel Perlot where he leads a cutting-edge research project in optical interconnects for next-gen high performance compute systems and is exploring initiatives in machine learning applied to electronic design automation and chip design. Prior to Steel Perlot, he worked for Honeywell where he developed MEMS and photonics solutions for advanced sensing systems and quantum computers. Matt holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota where he studied new semiconductor materials and device architectures for beyond-CMOS transistors.
